Google no longer allow the addition of extensions for other websites

Google/Chrome now only allows extensions to be added from the store, not from other pages. Nothing downloads, it appears to be blocked. Any advice on how to fix that?

As I cannot download from Twitch anymore ... it simply states the download links can't be found

Downloaded two of my videos from youtube with no problem at all and now I keep getting a failed-download error. Using Chrome, Version 44.0.2403.130 (64-bit) on Mac OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.3. Is there a limit or downloads per day? Couldn't find anything on your site about it. Thanks!

I think there's something wrong. I tried to download a video from Dailymotion, but it just says "Download Link not found". And even if I can just a download link, it just says I do not have permission to access it. Please fix this.
