Google no longer allow the addition of extensions for other websites

iain mackenzie 11 years ago updated by Aleksandr 9 years ago 4
Google/Chrome now only allows extensions to be added from the store, not from other pages. Nothing downloads, it appears to be blocked. Any advice on how to fix that?

The Link left by MakCNM does not fix anything, all that is, is a description on how to perform the install of the addon after it is downloaded. Chrome won't even allow the download of the extension unless it is done through the Google store.  MAKCNM has used the same link for two people trying to get help as I am on how to use this extension in Chrome and his link doesn't help at all!  Does anyone ELSE have an answer or do we just have to try other browsers, Firefox works just fine.
