Chrome on Mac - Download Button appear but doesn't provide download

The download button appear, but doesn't allow any download. Just does nothing when clicked. This problem started few days ago.
Browser: Chrome 79.0.3945 Mac OS X
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/79.0.3945.117 Safari/537.36
Extension: userjs-chrome 8.64.2

Chrome extension uses an excessive amount of resources
I don't know if it's a bug, but every time I start chrome with the extension enabled and check the resource monitor, the amount of ram memory and processor usage goes up.
