Extension does not work with Facebook in Opera, "No links were found"

Ironically, about two weeks ago, it was working fine on Facebook, but not on YouTube.  Now the situation is reversed.

It's an entire Facebook group; thousands of video.  This is just a small sample.

As I said, this used to work just fine for me.  At the end of June, I could download all of those just fine, it was YouTube that was the problem.  Now it's reversed.

Help please?

Oh, sorry I missed that before.  I thought the link was just the install page.  Here you go:

Browser: Opera-Webkit 600 Mac OS X
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/73.0.3683.103 Safari/537.36 OPR/60.0.3255.170
Extension: opera-chromium 8.29

Reinstall the extension at this link and clear your browser’s cache and cookies:

Okay, this is strange.  I still can't get a download on a video that's inside an "album" on Facebook, such as this:  https://www.facebook.com/sean.ibanez/videos/oa.392847774532238/10205925008360970/?type=3

But if it's just been uploaded to the group WITHOUT being placed in an album, then there IS a download link: https://www.facebook.com/maurence.shipley/videos/2334705916562861/

Or:  https://www.facebook.com/mark.bishop.988/videos/2252274861449916/

Why are the "album" folders blocking me?

Okay, this is ridiculous!  In a folder, I can't access the video:  https://www.facebook.com/steve.dunham.758/videos/oa.392847774532238/10219843988397053/?type=3

But if that SAME video is embedded in a non-folder post on another group, and there IS a link!  Look: https://www.facebook.com/groups/240734839616345/permalink/828042494218907/

So weird.

Can you download the video or not?

I can download it if it's embedded in a post that ISN'T in an album.  The standard videos which are in albums, no.

(The one I gave in the illustration I already have and do not need to download.  I could copy the links and create new downloadable posts elsewhere, but that would be cumbersome, essentially spam the group, and would not be the extension working as designed, not working the way it did up until late June.)

This needs fixing, IMO.  My (possible) ability to create (complicated) workarounds aside.

The fact is that the links we can not check because they are not available to us.

Therefore, it is difficult for us to find the problem and fix it.

But you can see the video through the embedded link in the non-folder post, right?  So you should be able to compare it with the "no link available" original, I would think.

Or heck, just upload videos to folders in your own FB group (I assume you have one) and see why they're not working for you.  It's not just the one vid and I doubt it's just the one group, either.  It's just an issue with Video Albums in FB groups, generally.

I am also able to access the videos by posting them to my timeline and just making the post "only me", so I don't bother anyone else. But again, more cumbersome than it needs to be.

Ok, we will try to figure it out.

Unfortunately there is no news.

Is anyone still looking into this?

same issue ...any clues??

Hi. We'll try to fix it ASAP.
