v7.74 Youtube download stuck

I was on v.74 before accidentally clicking update to v7.74. Now Youtube link would show but it would not proceed to download the clip. The link generated can be copied and download on Chrome, but it would stuck in Safari.

Are there any ways I could download the old version, which have been flawless?

Before downloading a video, hold down the <Alt> button and then the download button.

It worked but it is a bug? As it was not required in the older version.

Unfortunately, there is no other option.
Due to changes in the browser, there is no technical fix.
